Lady-Comp or Pearly? Fertility monitors for every need

If a woman wants to know what is going on in her body during a cycle, a fertility monitor like Lady-Comp or Pearly is a helpful support. It shows you when you are fertile and when pregnancy is unlikely. You can use it to predict your ovulation or find out when you can expect your next period. This way, you not only get to know your body better, but you can also use the information to get pregnant.

How the Fertility Monitor works

A fertility monitor allows you to find out in a very simple and quick way whether you are currently fertile or not. The basis for the calculation of the data is your basal body temperature. This is the body temperature that you have when you have neither exercised nor exerted yourself in other activities. Just before you ovulate, your basal body temperature rises slightly. When you have your period, the temperature returns to its normal level. To determine your basal body temperature, place the Lady-Comp or Pearly sensor under your tongue for 60 seconds. If you have your period, you only have to press one additional button. And that's it. The fertility monitor measures your temperature in this way and then shows you whether you are currently fertile and when your ovulation will start. No other data is necessary.

Fast, uncomplicated measurement

To ensure that you are always aware of what is happening in your body and that the computer can evaluate your data correctly, you should take your temperature every day before you get up. So that you don't forget to do this, the monitor offers you a practical alarm function that reminds you that it is time to measure your basal body temperature. If you want to sleep in, are traveling or work in shifts, you benefit from a measurement tolerance of up to 6 hours. This means that even if you take your temperature 3 hours later (or earlier) than usual, the fertility monitor can still accurately predict your fertile days. Just make sure that you have slept about 3-4 hours at a stretch beforehand, so that your body temperature is at its usual level. By the way: Especially women whose cycle is very irregular have problems to determine their fertile days manually. Here, too, the fertility monitor is a helpful alternative. To keep an eye on your data, LADY-COMP® can be easily connected to your PC or laptop via USB.

Get to know your body better

To ensure that the fertility monitor knows everything about you and your body, you should enter some data before using it for the first time. This includes:

  • Your age
  • Your height
  • Your average weight

From your height and weight, the cycle computer also calculates your body mass index (BMI), which indicates whether you are of normal weight, underweight or overweight. This tells you even more about yourself and your body. In addition, the monitor offers you other useful functions:

  • Display of the time
  • Alarm function (individually adjustable and can also be turned off completely)
  • Calendar

Your fertility monitor shows you your fertile days

You can always get pregnant when you are in your fertile days. Your fertility monitor shows you these days by means of a display. This means: If you have sexual intercourse with your partner now, pregnancy is possible. On the other hand, a green light means: You are not fertile and therefore cannot get pregnant. If the display lights up yellow, this means that it cannot be determined with certainty whether you are in your fertile days or not. This can happen if you have a particularly irregular cycle. Your cycle is considered very irregular if it is subject to strong fluctuations and is, for example, sometimes 60 and sometimes 18 days long. Then Lady-Comp or Pearly must first adjust to you and your body. Over time, however, it will have collected enough data so that the yellow light will hardly or not at all be displayed. It is best to treat a yellow day like a red one. Using Lady-Comp or Pearly is very accurate from the first day.

Here are the three colors and their respective meanings again at a glance:

  • Red: You are fertile/possibly fertile
  • Green: You are infertile
  • Yellow: Lady-Comp/Pearly is getting to know your cycle or cycle fluctuation - potentially fertile

Your fertile days always in view

Lady-Comp can tell you your fertile days six days in advance and stores your data for 180 days. This means that even after 180 days you can still see when you were in your fertile days. But what exactly are the fertile days? Quite simply, they are the five days before the onset of ovulation and the day of ovulation itself. Since your partner's sperm survive in your body for up to five days and can fertilize an egg on the sixth day, you are already considered fertile. If you have sexual intercourse on these days, you may become pregnant.

Calculate your ovulation with the fertility monitor

Your fertility monitor shows you not only your fertile days, but also your ovulation, or predicts this reliably. This way you will know when you should have sex with your boyfriend or husband if you want to have a baby. Ovulation plays a very special role here, because as soon as your body releases an egg, it can be fertilized by a sperm - you are pregnant.

The egg can be fertilized for about six to 18 hours. After that, you are back in your non-fertile days. Some women have very irregular ovulation and find it difficult to predict. Sometimes it even stops completely in one cycle. The fertility monitor helps these women to always know exactly when ovulation will start.

Your fertility monitor tells you when to expect your period

You are single, not sexually active and the topic of pregnancy does not concern you at the moment? In this case, you can still use the fertility monitor to always know in which phase of your cycle you are currently. This is recommended for young women, for example, who do not yet know how to interpret the changes in their body.

The fertility monitor can be used without any problems at any age, since only some self-discipline is required to actually perform a measurement every day. In addition, the cycle monitor is also suitable for all women who do not want to be surprised by their period, because it tends to start irregularly, for example. Lady-Comp manages to predict menstruation in a period of half a year. It also shows the average length of the cycle.

Determining fertile days with the fertility monitor

You can use a fertility monitor not only if you want to get pregnant. Because your fertile days are reliably displayed, you know exactly when you should take precautions. Especially women who want to avoid taking hormones in the form of the pill and the like - or who are simply not allowed to do so for health reasons - turn to the practical cycle computer. It is considered a reliable method and offers very high accuracy. To ensure this, it draws on the data of cycles of several million women. Important: Before using Lady-Comp or Pearly, you must stop taking your pill, because the pill regulates your cycle, which is not natural because you are taking it.

Getting pregnant with Fertility Monitor

If you are planning a pregnancy, you can simply leave everything to chance. But you can also help your luck by using a fertility monitor to find out when you are ovulating and when you are in your fertile days. If you become intimate with your partner during these six days, this increases the chance of pregnancy. This is suitable, for example, for couples who have not yet succeeded in fulfilling their desire for a baby. If you have sexual intercourse, you enter this into your cycle computer.

If it has actually worked, Lady-Comp or Pearly can show you a probable pregnancy 18 days after your last period. On the 15th day, the monitor already informs you about a possible pregnancy. This way you will know as early as possible that you are probably pregnant and will not find out about your pregnancy only after a few weeks or even months. From this point on, you should avoid alcohol, medication and cigarettes. Note, however, that to be sure that you are pregnant, you should see your doctor.

Monitor your cycle if you want to have a baby

If you want to have a baby but you just can't get pregnant, choose Lady-Comp. This special fertility monitor is designed especially for women who want to plan a family and offers you additional functions. For example, it can help you identify pregnancy obstacles, such as lack of ovulation or the so-called luteal hypofunction. Corpus luteum is responsible for preparing the uterine lining for implantation. If this does not happen, pregnancy usually cannot occur. You can find out exactly to the day when fertilization has occurred and calculate the approximate date of birth.

Cycle computers are suitable for every woman

Here we show you once again at a glance when you should decide to use a fertility monitor:

  • You want to get pregnant and plan your fertilization as well as possible.
  • You want to know as early as possible that you are pregnant.
  • Your partner has few or very slow sperm.
  • You want to feel the processes in your body in an unaltered way.
  • You want to know when your next period will start.
  • You have an irregular cycle.
  • Your ovulation is very irregular.
  • You always want to know what is going on in your body.
  • You are a young woman and cannot yet interpret the changes in your body.

The fertility monitor and its advantages

Of course, there are other ways to know what is happening in your body at what time. However, this is much more difficult than simply using a fertility monitor. First of all, you should take your temperature at exactly the same time every day. Since it depends on up to two digits after the decimal point, a conventional clinical thermometer is not recommended. You need a precise thermometer. Then you should note your basal body temperature and draw a curve.

It is also important to observe your cervical mucus and write down whether it has changed in color or consistency. Afterwards, feel your cervix and, as a last step, measure your hormone levels. For this you need test strips that you hold in your urine. They show which hormones are currently in your body and in what quantity. As you can see, determining your fertile days manually involves a lot of effort. Moreover, you must not be careless in measuring and observing your body processes.

A much better method is therefore the fertility monitor. Here we show you once again all the advantages of our cycle computers at a glance:

  • Fast and uncomplicated (60-second temperature measurement under the tongue)
  • Very accurate
  • Measurement tolerance of six hours (+3/-3)
  • Reliable results even with one or two missed measurements
  • Sophisticated algorithm based on the values of millions of women
  • Can also be used for irregular menstrual cycles
  • Small, lightweight device for taking along on trips
  • Battery operated - no power outlet required
  • No follow-up costs

Use the many advantages of Lady-Comp and Pearly and enjoy from now on a life in the natural balance of your body!
